PESTEL ANALYSIS Five factors influence on the automotive industry that car makers have to consider in order to be competitive on the market. Political Factors Main, about regular growth of oil price, government and civic opinion do a pressure on the automotive business. Consequently, car producers have to find some new resources and they have to face against new competition: public transports, no car in town policy. .. Then, if the government owns shares in the car corporation, the company is submitted to the government policy. Economic Factors The increase of oil price has a real negative impact on sales. As consumers want to get some economical cars, car makers have to direct their research about hybrid engines for example. Car makers have to face the raise of the raw materials. For instance, the price of steel is increasing. There are a lot of opportunities on the new markets like the south East Asia, South America and Western Europe countries.
