Participation in Research A first-hand experience with the experimental procedure is considered highly desirable as part of any course in psychology. You will have opportunities to participate in psychological experiments being conducted by the faculty and graduate students. This experience will benefit you (you will receive information about procedures, hypotheses, and results of each experiment in which you participate) and allow research in areas of human psychology to be advanced.

Participation in Research in Psych 100 Experiment participation is required. PSYC 100 requires 10 credits, at least 5 of which are from in-person studies. This gives you an “A” for 5% of your course grade. Professors are instructed by the University Institutional Review Board to provide alternative bonus point earning activities for those of you who cannot participate (due to ill health or other limiting condition) or do not wish to participate in experiments.
