Finally its summer time again, and beach season is back in swing. Anticipating the big crowds and harsh sun, is the least of my worries today! This spring break, I spent most of my time on the beach. Everyone has a place where they go to escape all the pressures and worries of life. There is always that one spot that can soothe all your problems and troubles in times of stress. For me, the beach is the ultimate cure to all of my problems. While I am there, all of my responsibilities are suddenly erased. The excitement and the relaxation of the beach make it one of my favorite summer spots! If you are looking for an entertaining and relaxing way to spend the hot days of summer, Daytona Beach has plenty to offer. Arriving at the beach, I was a little stressed out from the intense drive down busy interstate four through busy downtown Orlando. But the traffic on interstate four didn’t compare to the traffic trying to get to the same destination as me. I knew a few things ahead of time. One, it’s going to be packed especially with it being Spring break! Families and college kids alike are going to be ready for a good time. College kids like myself enjoying a few drinks and soaking up the rays while the kids run around and build sand castles. As I step out of the car and get a whiff of the beach atmosphere, all the stress and worry melted away, it’s time to soak up some rays! Daytona Beach, my favorite beach stretches up the coast of beautiful, sunny Florida. The drive takes approximately two hours from my house. Our trip during the spring break made for a great mini vacation, the temperature stayed between in the 80’s and was perfect sun tanning weather. The friendly smiles and southern hospitality mixed well with the warm climate, why would you want to be anywhere else?

As I stroll along I can feel the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. I am taken in by the soothing atmosphere that encircles me. I close my eyes, letting myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun on a beautiful day. I am comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves represses all of my worries. I look into the cloudless beautiful blue sky and see pure calmness. Today at the beach I realized I’m being a lot more attentive and noticing things I never really paid attention to before. Even, wondering what it’s like to be a seagull, seemingly drifting
