1 PSY 261/SOC 261 Introduction to Social Psychology SEMESTER PROJECT The purpose of this assignment is to heighten awareness of your personal attitudes toward the people in social settings with whom you come in contact. (1) For your semester project participate in a voluntary (unpaid) activity that requires a minimum of eight (8) hours of your time during the semester. Examples of volunteer projects may involve feeding the homeless, working in a shelter, contributing labor to building a home for persons in need, or a host of other volunteer activities. For additional ideas as to an activity that may be of interest to you, contact CSN Serve in Room 1086 on the Cheyenne Campus, located in the Student Service area (651- 4698). (2) After completing your hours , have your supervisor document in writing with (a) his or her full name, (b) title, (c) organization name, and (d) contact telephone number.
