At the minimum, comment on the relevance of the module’s material or discuss what you found difficult or confusing about either this module’s content or the previous module’s content. You can comment on a Chemistry in Action or Chemical Mystery from your textbook reading, or you can post and comment on a Web site you found helpful in understanding the material. Your post must be original—don’t repeat what someone else has already posted—and your comments on classmate postings should be substantive and meaningful. I learned a lot about the importance of discarding chemical solutions properly and the dangers of not doing so. Chemical solutions that are to acidic or base can start fires or cause damage if not neutralized. If we put a solution that is to acidic down our sink drain following a lab, we could destroy the sink or cause even further damage. We must remember to neutralize our chemical solutions following exercises so we can all complete this course safely and also not cause any damage to our houses and property. If unsure of whether it is safe to dispose of a chemical, we can look it up online or refer to a SDS to find the correct procedure.
