2 WHAT IS QBE? Query By Example, or QBE, replaces the command-line  driven interface of SQL with a graphical user interface. More user-friendly approach.  For simple queries, QBE often easier-to-use. Less powerful than SQL. Sometimes less precise than SQL.

3 HOW TO BUILD QBE QUERIES IN  MICROSOFT ACCESS In the Database Window  click on the Queries button. Double-click on Create  query in Design view. In the Show Table dialog  highlight the table you  want to use in the query and click Add. Optionally, you can add another table.  When done adding tables, click Close.

(SQL WHERE) Use same row for AND, multiple lines for OR. Un-select Show to hide columns included just for criteria or sorting Sort options in appropriate columns. Evaluated left to right (SQL ORDER BY)
