Know about the elements of the fraud on the midterm. It requires the intent. Tort means wrong, and generally means damages. You must be responsible for the damages you cause. Tort law imposes a duty on persons and business agents not to intentionally Categories of torts: intentional torts, unintentional/ negligence, strict liability Example: stick your hand into the tiger's mouth and get a little bit trouble. The pet tiger has the stick liability torts for the owner. Intentional torts against persons Law protects a person from unauthorized touching, restraint, or other contact. Like a fan really wants to kiss the famous star. Truth is a defense to definition. Assault: threat of immediate harm or offensive contact. e.g. 85 year old lady, liable for assault. Invasion of privacy. Battery: Unauthorized and harmful or offensive physical contact with another person. Doctrine of transferred intent: like try to hurt someone but hurt someone else.
