Inquiry 5 I.) Ideology/Commonplace : - At first I had no idea that commonplaces or ideologies were even used. - By Inquiry 2, we had gone over it in class, and I had a grasp of what they meant by definition. - In inquiry 3, I actually used them to explain the idea of love as society views it today versus the meaning of the word by definition(s), and how it should really be perceived/how intricate the idea of love really is. II.) Rhetorical Appeals: - My understanding of Ethos, Pathos and Logos has completely changed throughout my Inquiries. - When comparing Inquiry 1 to Inquiry 3, there are numerous ways I have improved. - I came to an understanding of how they all interact with one another, and are not merely segregated by definition in terms of use. - Ethos appeals also had Pathos appeals; Pathos appeals had Logos appeals, etc. - Inquiry 1 just showed that I knew them by definition. - Talk about Kairos and Exigence, because in the first two inquiries I mainly wrote to the teacher rather than a selected audience. However, in Inquiry 3 I focused completely on a target audience and found it much more effective.
