The dispute over the distribution of water started soon after the partition of east and west Punjab. HISTORY OF INDIA PAKISTAN WATER DISPUTE: The water dispute between the Pakistan and India began during the early 1960s.however, the Indus treaty between two countries created on understanding of how water between two countries would be shared. FACTORS WHICH CAN LEAD TO WATER CONFLICTS: There are various factors which may lead to conflicts between India and Pakistan. Some of the factors are given below: Population growth. Climate change. Poor political condition. Weak treaties. Poor water storage. PRESENT STATUS OF DISPUTE: The dispute between Pakistan and India over water has continued over several decades. Currently, the dispute revolves around the construction of hydroelectric plant along a tributary of Indus. CONCLUSION: This conflict has adversely affected both countries by limiting development through cooperation. Water conservation is an important policy which should be embraced by Pakistan to reduce expenses on water costs.

CAUSES OF SEPARATION OF EAST PAKISTAN: Background: Pakistan Faced Large Number Of Problems From The Day Of Its Creation. One Of These Problems Was That Pakistan Consisted Of East And West Pakistan Without Having Any Land Communication Between Them. Secondly West Pakistan Consisted Of Four Provinces While East Pakistan Consist Of 1 Province. The Language Spoken In These Two Areas Were Entirely Different. THE MAIN CAUSES: The Main Causes Of Separation Of East And West Pakistan Was: 1) Martial Law: Martial Law Created The Sense Of Deprivation In East Pakistan And Lack Of Democracy Disappointed Bengalis. 2) Provincial Autonomy: East Pakistan Wanted The Whole Provincial Autonomy, Which They Were Given, It Was Accepted When India Attacked East Pakistan. 3) Different Social Structure: The Problem Of Both Parts Of Pakistan Were Different. West Pakistan Offers Were Posted To East Pakistan, They Did Not Behave Properly With Them, And Bengalis Grow Hatred Against West Pakistan.
