NS 1200 NUTRITION AND HEALTH: ISSUES, OUTLOOKS AND OPPORTUNITIES Spring 2012. Wednesday 12:20-1:10pm. Room: G71 MVR. 1 credit. S-U grades only. Course Description : NS 1200 provides opportunities for students to explore the broad fields of food, nutrition, and health. Experts representing different areas of these fields will discuss their work - focusing on current issues and trends as well as the requisite knowledge and skills. This course describes many of the different disciplines that are drawn upon in the solution of human problems related to food, diet, and health as well as the related intellectual and career opportunities. This course is intended for students considering careers in these fields. Students will explore career opportunities through a variety of assignments.
