Pregnancy in the Army 2 Pregnancy in the Army and its Impact on Unit’s Deployed to Combat Planned Parenthood can be an exciting, life changing, and beautiful yet rewarding experience. For many Americans it is one of the thing couples look forward to, especially women in a relationship. However some female soldiers in the army may have to approach this differently because of duty requirements which sometimes are considered priority over having a child--something none military women view and take for granted. With the potential controversial repeal of the “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell” policy, recently this has been a busy month at the Pentagon for the sticky issue of sex and its consequence – both homo and hetero sex. In some cases having sex whether with your husband or wife can lead to facing consequences if a pregnancy occurs while serving in army commands.
