MOHAMED MOHD ZAIN The process might be improved by issuing a pre-registration card with all pertinent information to all patients prior to the 28 th month of pregnancy, this would eliminate going to the registration desk regardless of complications or not. This card could be scanned to verify all data is correct and eliminating many questions asked by receptionist. Another way to improve is to have registration and the assessment on the same floor. This would cut down time travelling from one floor to another. Any surgical procedure could affect the process flow due to complications. Since this is a very busy hospital a back log of patients could occur in the mother-baby care unit. Depending upon space available and other surgical procedures the flow could change resulting in shorter hours spent in that unit. Preregistered mothers would affect the flow process by creating a longer wait in the
