Introduction: HIGH performance, compact size, and low cost are highly desirable for modern microwave filters in the next generation of many wireless systems. The microstrip ring resonator satisfies these demands and is finding wide use in many bandpass filters. A band stop filter is introduced that uses a ring resonator with direct-connected orthogonal feed lines. A new bandpass filter based on the band stop filter uses two tuning stubs to construct a wide-band pass band with two sharp stop bands. The circumference of the ring resonator is expressed as where n is the mode number and is the guided wavelength. Calculated dimensions for the Ring Width W1 is calculated for 50 ohms. Width W2 of the tunning stubs is calculated for 72 ohms W1= 2.1mm W2=1.1 mm l r = 37.25mm l f = 9.31mm
