STS 323 Alexis Wardlaw August 24, 2011 “Your World View” assignment: 1. Explain your background. I am from Asheville North Carolina, a small town within the mountains, and I was raised in a single parent home. At times it was not easy being a part of a one parent home, but we made it through as a family. I have one brother who is 19 and I also have a niece who is just over one years of age. My mother is a foster mother who cares for mentally challenged children therefore I have had many foster brothers and sisters who have made an impact on my life. Throughout high school I managed to maintain above a normal grade point average while working part-time at Sonic Drive-In as a carhop for all four years. The main goal that I have strived to achieve towards throughout my whole life is to be an entrepreneur of my own bank, preferably called “Wardlaw Banking”. 2. Indicate when you hope to graduate from NCSU, what your degree will be, and your near- and longer- term professional plans upon graduation. If all goes well, I will graduate sometime next year. I have previously planned to graduate in May of 2012 but now as I think more often about my future, I believe it would be in my best interest to graduate in December of 2012. This will give me more time to take classes that I need
