EE 3221 Suhas Patel June 30, 2004 Objective: To design and characterize the performance of an emitter-coupled transistor pair both as an input stage for a differential amplifier and for other applications. Circuit Diagrams:
Italicized Questions: 1.) What are the values of the resistors and supply voltages? Measure the dc voltages at points A, B, and C. A = – 0.687 V B = 5.73 V C = 5.33 V What relationship do the waveforms at B and C have to the input? The waveform at B has increased in amplitude (about 33 times bigger) and is inverted compared to the input.

The waveform at C has approximately the same amplitude as B but it is in phase with the input (no inversion). Measure the differential gain from the input to point C?
