(William) Jake Smith CIS 111 004 January 18, 2012 Free Write Assignment Public speaking and writing abilities should be self-explanatory. Visual abilities can be taking photos or video, graphic design, putting PowerPoint presentations together, etc. Technology ability could be anything from designing a website or blog to working with camera equipment and computers. 1=Not very confident 2=Somewhat confident 3=Confident 4=Very confident Public speaking: 2: I give myself a 2 because I’m not exceptionally good, but I’m not terribly bad. I am simply mediocre. I am really good at having a conversation with someone, but when talking to a whole audience who doesn’t respond it seems kind of awkward for me, and I feel like what I’m speaking about is not very interesting. Though in CIS 110 I received A’s on both my speeches… Hopefully I will grow this semester to become a 4!!! Writing abilities: 4: I feel like I write well. It is much easier than talking because you can edit what is being written however many times, or as often as needed.

I passed with a high B, but the class was difficult for me, and I have not had any further experience with such technology since. So I am not very capable when it comes to this area of expertise....

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
