Quote of the day 6 “Every day in the United States, roughly 200,000 people are sickened by a food borne disease, 900 are hospitalized, and fourteen die” (Schlosser 195). Throughout the United States people come down with many different diseases all the time. A very popular sickness that many American citizens get in their life is food poisoning. They get this from either eating bad meat, old food, or some kind of contaminated food. There are tons of people who get food poisoning, but the scary part is that not all of the cases are diagnosed. Half the cases are just pushed aside like there nothing. Food poisoning isn’t just a common cold it’s a sickness that could lead to death if not treated properly. A certain type of food poisoning is E. coli which is a very painful disease. The symptoms are bloody diarrhea, and really terrible cramps. If this disease is not caught right away it could eventually lead to death. If people are getting sick, being hospitalized and dying everyday someone should step in and do
