Why it is important to be scientifically literate in society? In today’s society science can be found everywhere. Whether you’re in your own house or walking down the street science is somehow being used in your life. Science is a very important topic because without science there wouldn’t be all these advance in technology and diseases. Science has helped create the laptops we use and the T.V.’s we watch. Science has helped us find cures for diseases and save lives. Science is everywhere and it’s never going away. People who are scientifically literate on the other hand are becoming hard to find. Since science is everywhere it is important to be scientifically literate. The more people who become scientifically literate the better changes the world has of fixing problems such as cancer, AIDS, global warming, and many others. Being scientifically literate is really important because then people can keep up with new science advances and maybe even get involved.
