Unformatted text preview: La Rosa1 Melissa La Rosa Dr. Young Managerial Communication 2/7/12 Conflict over Job Duties Case Analysis In this case study, we will be analyzing a conflict between coworkers from the case analysis Conflict over Job Duties which involves the accounting and sales departments of a production company. The situation involves the manger of accounting department, whose staff is often overwhelmed with work .A problem arises between Sims and Ruth Rankin, the admin assistant in credit, who sometimes works on journal entries assigned to her by Sims. The company has under gone a rapid growth over the past six months and Rankin is no longer able to help Sims out has much with journal entries. We will be analyzing their strategies used, process used to solve the conflicts under the John-Deweys rational problem-solving process. Conflict is to be different, opposed, or contradictory and to fail to be in agreement or accord with a person.
