Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino,
California, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online
services (Apple).
This recognizable brand has been a powerful force in the hardware and software
industry since the release of the first iPhone in the early 2000’s.
Apples strategy has been different over
the years mainly because they have had different officers.
It started out as a failure, but when Steve Jobs
was put into position, he had a unique strategy that turned around the business.
Apple is committed to
using their keen business strategies and unique ability to design and develop its own operating systems
to provide their consumers with innovative products that offer ease-of-use and seamless integration.
A
SWOT analysis for Apple consists of understanding their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and
threats, in order to decipher areas of improvement and what the competitive advantages are.
SWOT
reveals critical factors that if addressed properly, can be necessary to the development of a strategic plan
(Tenney, D., & Marquis, J. (2017).
