Thanks to you, our organization has been able to maintain its reputation for excellence in sedimentary geology. With that said, I have the pleasure of informing you that effective today, you have been promoted to Geologist, Class 1. With this promotion, your salary increases by 25%. There will, of course, be additional responsibilities with Class 1 standing. Up to this point, you have been used primarily in a supportive role. As a Class 1 geologist, you will be expected to act more as a project leader. Those responsibilities begin today. Once again, congratulations on the promotion and continued success at the GSSA.
