It is important to monitor the progress of a project continually to compare actual performance with planned performance. It is important to schedule regular reporting. 2. Describe in your own words what is meant by the project control process. The project control process involves monitoring actual progress versus planned progress to ensure that the project is completed on time and under budget. This includes analyzing data on actual time and actual costs. 3. Why should a project have a regular reporting period? A regular reporting period ensures that there is efficiency for time intervals when comparing data. Different projects require different lengths of reporting periods. For example a project expecting to take a month to complete should have a daily reporting period, whereas a project lasting a year or two would not necessarily need daily reporting and could have weekly or monthly reporting. 4.
