Chapter Summary CHAPTER SUMMARY: By this time you might have figured out that the two containers we have been speaking of are actually the positive and negative plates of an automotive battery. A battery produces direct current (DC). The conductive wire that connected the two containers together would be the electrical wiring of the automobile. The variable wire sizes represents the electrical loads and switches on an automobile. You should also take note of a few interesting things that come about as a result of this discussion. Eventually all the extra electrons from the container filled with negative ions will make their way into the container with the positive ions and the current will stop.
