Circuit Wiring Components Connector Symbol. This symbol indicates that there is a physical separation of the wire harness available in the circuit. On multi-cavity connectors, the coordinates of the wire in the connector will be given by the side of the connector symbol. For example, if F4 were printed by the side of the connector symbol, the wire would be located on row F column 4. Splice Symbol. This symbol indicates that three or more wires are permanently spliced or connected together in the circuit. A splice like this is usually taped into the harness somewhere. Because of this, they are usually very difficult to locate. Splice Pack Symbol This symbol indicates that many wires are spliced or connected together in the circuit. A splice clip like this is usually easily accessible for service and diagnostic reasons. The big advantage to a splice pack is the ability to easily unplug and isolate all the wires that were spliced together. The gray/dark gray Star
