Diagnostic Tools Diagnostic tools like scan-tools, multi-meters, test lights, etc. when properly used, can offer insight into the nature of the problem and even assist in capturing the malfunction when it is intermittent. For example, a scan-tool can record a computer data list for review at a later time. A multi-meter can capture electrical glitches, glitches that occur too quickly to see on a scan-tool data list. Other special diagnostic tools have specialized functions designed to help with diagnosing specific systems. These special tools are available to the dealerships and the general public. Refer to chapter 10 in the course book for troubleshooting tools and to chapter 17 for computer system scan

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
