EXPLORATION DOCUMENT2Cultural ArtifactsThis artifact is the “Bust of Nefertiti.” The piece was a woman that was royalty and a wife of “Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten.” “The statue is stated to have been created around 1365 B.C by Thutmose.” The statue was found in Thutmose’s studio near Egypt. This piece of art is created with stucco and limestone. The eye on the left was not finished there was no reason why. Thestatue was a timeless creation and is part of a historical piece in Egypt, telling them their history. (Bridgeman, 2014)
EXPLORATION DOCUMENT3Mona Lisa is the title of this painting created by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1503 and 1517 in Italian Renaissance time zone. The materials utilized was a wooden furniture and oil paint, the art is displayed in the Louvre Museum, near Paris. (Isaacson, W.2017)Common ThemeThe common theme connecting the two artifacts is, both are the best to their era, and bothwas painted but on different canvases. Both pieces displayed famous artists in their time.Example Leonardo Da Vinci in the early 1500s and Thutmose, of the early 1350 B.C. Bothartifacts show emotions, the Mona Lisa stood to show joy, and Statue of Nefertiti signified theemotion of being proud and showing royalty.
