Mu µ The lower case Greek letter "mu" µ indicates the current being measured is displayed in micro-amps (millionth (10 -6 ) of an amp) µA. The prefix micro- comes from the Greek word mikros "small". You must turn the meter's rotary switch to µA to activate this feature. Micro (µ) is used on DMM's to indicate the measurement being displayed has had the decimal point moved 6 places to the right of the base unit
