Surname 1 Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Emotional Intelligence, Trauma Severity, and Emotion Expression Study Purpose This particular study by Kao and Chen (2016) examines whether religion has any influence on an individual's emotional intelligence and how people process trauma. Characteristics of the studied population From the characteristics of the population being studied, the sample size involved 105 students. The demographics of the study included participants who were students with the mean age being 20 years. The sampled population was composed of both male and female students represented as 48 and 57, respectively (Kao and Chen, 2016). The study initiated a mechanism of splitting the students into two definite groups, the religious trauma-writing condition (RTC) and the conventional trauma-writing condition (CTC). Research questions The researcher suggested their research hypotheses where they hypothesized that there could be a possibility for emotional intelligence to impose various impacts on depressive signs after the students expressed their differences in traumatic experiences that they went through.
