UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRAINING CENTER 1 Getting Started Activating Your Account Before using NetFiles for the first time, each user must activate their NetFiles account. Account activation is done on the directory tools page, which can be accessed at https://www.umn.edu/myaccount. At the bottom of that page eligible users will have a section called Other Account Options under which there will be a NetFiles Account Options section. Please carefully read the information on that page before activating your account. Who is Eligible for an Account? All currently registered students, staff, and faculty with an active appointment may use the NetFiles service. If you do not have the NetFiles Account Options section on your directory tools page, please contact NetFiles support at [email protected] Accessing Your Account
