Pat is the network engineer for the Acme Corporation, a nationwide bank. He needs to design a wide area network (WAN) that will connect offices in Dallas, San Francisco, Denver, and Tallahassee. The WAN that Pat designs should provide redundancy to ensure that if a link malfunctions, the critical account data will not be lost. WhichWAN topology should Pat design for Acme Corporation? To prevent lost critical account data Pat should make use of a proper storage device utilizing RAID (redundant array of independent disks) technology. Pat should utilize a Mesh topology over a telecommunication network to connect the four offices. The mesh topology provides redundancy in that some of the offices in the network are connected to the other offices. The data transmitted through the network takes the optimal path unless a link malfunction occurs in that case it reroutes to a less than optimal path to its destination. A logical algorithm determines an optimal path and when there is a path failure an alternative path is derived from the logical algorithm. When planning a network, you must be concerned
