In hardy weignburg, the largest population size will jump the leats, medium more, but in small  populations you will have the biggest “noise” or “sample size” o Drift is noise, which is an evolutionary force because it causes change in allele frequencies,  especially in small population sizes o Large population, all the population individuals are behaving as expected to give you a somewhat  straight line  o Genetic drift leads to one allele fixating and the other being extinct Small populations: o Hard to predict because sample size will be smaller and more varied o More noise or more genetic drift o can easily go to fixation/extinction o if an allele is completely fixed, then no heterozygotes o H= percent of probability that individual is heterozygote H depends on t  Derivative of heterozygozity  Autozygotes: o When two alleles are identical by descent (same parent)
