INTRO MACRO 220:103:01 – GRADING EXPLANATION 12/24/2011 Sheflin Fall 2011 READ CAREFULLY please Course Grades are posted in Sakai and should be visible through gradebook. Note The University and the Econ department building are closed until January 3. Your FINAL GRADE is a WEIGHTED AVERAGE of your curved grade on the FINAL (I also show but didn’t use the raw score), your average grade on the required ASSIGNMENTS (3 lowest dropped) , your average CLICKER SCORE , dropping the lowest three classes, the ONLINE MIDTERM score, along with EXTRA CREDIT from the post test and survey, if done and the extra credit project, if done, and learning resource center, if done. The final exam points were CURVED (Curved Final Exam in gradebook; Raw Final Exam is the raw score) The total points were also CURVED . If you did significantly better on the final exam than your total points (including the final), AND if your homework and clicker performances were adequate, you likely got the higher grade. The following shows the % of the class receiving each grade, the curve for the weighted total
