Muhammad Elgawly | 912037555 Paper #1 – Business Ethics – 7/19/11 When asked to choose a person that I admire and describe them, I did not have to second guess who I would choose. Each and every day I am around my father, I am inspired in one way or another. His determination to keep the people in his life happy, and ability to put other people’s needs before his own are attributes that I attempt to mold myself after everyday. My father, Gamal Elgawly, was born and raised in Port Said, Egypt. When he was 25 years old, him and my mother, Salwa Elgawly, left the only place they’ve ever called home to start a new life in America. With very little money and barely any family or friends, my father went from being a New York City taxi driver to developing and running his own restaurant in Philadelphia. I remember when I was still very young, I would spend a lot of time with my father at his restaurant. I noticed the way all of his employees respected him; not as a boss, but as a friend. I had never once witnessed him raising his voice at any of the
