As a whole, you seemed well rehearsed. Overall, delivery was fairly good. Most everyone had a nice attention getter. Some did a nice job connecting their topic to the audience/addressing the issue of why should the audience care. All of your topics were interesting! Nobody passed out, vomited or died Your first MAJOR assignment is done with!!!  Things that went well…

Following the instructions You all got the basics of the assignment, but were missing some of the aspects that you are graded on… such as developing an effective attention getter and clincher, stating a thesis statement, 2 clear main points etc. CLINCHERS!!!! No ‘in conclusions’ no ‘thank you’ Some need to work on thesis statements All need to work on identifying and developing ways to communicate complex ideas to a lay audience… which leads us to our second major assingment Things we all need some work on
