What are interest groups? Interest groups are groups which try to  push for or prevent public policy change  without trying to run for office. Activist groups like Earth First or the Sierra  Club Lobbying groups such as corporations and  unions Advocacy Coalitions- “A coalition of groups  that come together based on a shared set
