For the museum assignment I went to museum of man which was located in balboa park. I went there last Saturday because there was an event via which we had a chance to see the arts without paying entrance fee. But because it was so crowded and it was full of people they didn’t let anybody to bring a camera for taking photos. The art that I choose is a pottery jar. It was from ancient Egypt period (pre dynastic Egypt) but the name of the artist was unknown. It was from 3400-3200 B.C. unfortunately there wasn’t enough information about this art like what was the medium and… the only thing that I found was a paper which gave us some information about it. It said that the early people of lower Egypt, influenced by the cultures flourishing around the eastern Mediterranean, advanced more quickly than the Egyptians of the south. These northen Egyptians produced finely decorated pottery and sophisticated stone vessels during the late pre-dynastic period( 3400-3200 B.C) I cant say it was a small work because it wasn’t. neither I can say it was big.
