Zhang, “Video processing and communications,” Prentice Hall 2002. - Class notes and reference papers Course Objective: This graduate-level course introduces fundamental technologies for digital video processing and communications. The principles of source coding for efficient storage and transmission of digital video will be covered and state-of-the-art video coding techniques will be introduced. In addition, a number of advanced topics for efficient and robust transmission of digital video over wired/wireless networks will be introduced. Important Dates: - Midterm exam: Oct 5 (class time) - Term-project proposal due: Oct 31 - Final exam: Dec 5-9 (TBD) Exams
