Purpose: To study the MA, IMA and efficiency of Pulleys and Levers Prediction: Among the pulleys, the 200g machine will have the highest efficiency and the 1000g machine will have the lowest efficiency. Among the levers, 200g machine will have the highest efficiency and 1000g machine will have the lowest efficiency. Variables: IV: Weights (Machines) DV: Efficiency Procedure: 1. Pick three different weights to use as machines 2. Measure the force needed to hold three different weights in place 3. Measure the distance it takes to move a weight 'x' centimeters 4. For pulleys: do fixed, moveable, block and tackle 1 and block and tackle II (steps 1-2) 5. For levers: do 1 st class, 2 nd class and 3 rd class levers (steps 1-2) 6.
