What were your perceptions (if you had any) of the Pacific Customs Management Program (PCMP) prior to attending the course? The only notions that I had of the program were from what I had read in the material provided to me during the period before the PCMP. I was a candidate to attend the very first one in 2007 but due to personnel constraints at my home agency I was not able to attend. From the material that I was provided, I figured that the program was going to be intense, as some of the subjects offered were different from what my administration enforced, i.e. tariffs, etc. In your opinion what was the objective of the PCMP? To provide qualified candidates the opportunity to learn about successful facilitation of customs ideals and practices and the knowledge to apply it at their respective customs administrations. How effective was the PCMP in meeting its objectives? I feel that the program was successful in completing it initiatives.
