Texas Children’s Hospital and Emergency Care Issues Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus, is one of Houston’s awesome first full-service hospitals built just for kids. As the only pediatric hospital named to the U.S.News World Report Honor Roll, parents trust us to provide their children with expert, compassionate care. As of the present time they offer outpatient specialty services in a family-friendly environment, conveniently located to serve the area's rapidly growing pediatric population. It is a 48-acute care bed facility and dedicated to pediatric emergency services, surgical suites, advance diagnostic imaging, and a neurophysiology sleep laboratory. Texas Children’s touches every step of the revenue cycle, and the primary function of focus include physician enrollment, charge capture and entry, coding and documentation, claim processing, accounts receivable management, payment posting, reporting metrics, and managed care contracting. The final impact encompasses and entity budget and funds flow of $281 million with professional collections of $101 million. On an annual basis its emergency rooms treat more than 61,753 patients each year. In 2011, the total of patients seen for emergency services room visits (combined facilities) was 790,391. Texas Children’s Hospital has full emergency services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The physicians and staff in the emergency room have years of experience and training.
