Unformatted text preview: Jeff Mabry Lead 1502 Dr. Parish Oconee Registration Policy Good morning students and faculty, I am Jeff Mabry and I’m here to speak with you about the Oconee campus registration policy. Here at Gainesville State College we currently have 8,794 students attending classes in Gainesville, Oconee, and online. 2,358 of those students are attending classes here in Oconee, that’s nearly 27% of the student body on this small satellite campus. There are many benefits to Oconee campus, such as the close proximity to The University of Georgia for those who intend to transfer and a short commute for those who live in the surrounding region. The high demand for this campus creates much stress for students and faculty alike. The need for an effective and fair system of deciding who is allowed access to Oconee campus is evident. The system of deciding who is allowed access and who is denied is built upon a ranking system. The most decisive factor that goes into this decision is the principle of seniority. Students system....
