End Notes of Journal Entry Jeff Mabry Format of Journal Entry: The font used for the journal entry is Bradley Hand ITC; I chose this font to give the appearance of a true journal entry that would have been written by Harry Haller at the time. The sentence fragments express rapid thoughts that Harry is quickly writing on paper before he loses his train of thought. The underlined and capitalized words represent that Harry emphasized them directly and specifically to bring attention upon them. The journal entry was written in haste due to the events of that early morning and the shock this put upon him. The journal entry is Harry’s confession to the events that occurred the morning proceeding the masked ball. Harry explains how he murdered Hermine by thrusting a knife into her chest and watching her die. Upon realizing what he has done, Harry begins questioning himself of why he murdered Hermine and if it was good and right or the opposite, thus leaving him to analyze what Hermine has taught him and how these lessons could change his life.
