- Lab work is mean to be done during lab . It is posted ahead of time for you to be able to familiarize yourself with it only, not for you to do all the work ahead of time. Announcements: Questions? Program to give salary, based on whether or not a person is studying engineering and the number of internships. E.g. check to see if student is in engineering AND has at least one internship if( userInput.charAt( 0) == 'y') AND (internship >=1)) { salary = 60000; } Last Time: We can use calculations using variables as part of the comparisons Variations, indentation, comparison ( aka relational ) operators Common problems Boolean Operators (and the equivalent without them!) Short circuit evaluation Making decisions with the if statement: The switch statement Today: Reads in whether or not we studied engineering (into a boolean variable) 1. If we studied engineering, it also asks for the number of internships during college 2. The program computes and displays the resulting starting salary.
