Reflection of Community Service I watch the news today, and the majority of what I see is a great cause of concern. There are horrendous tsunamis on the other side of the globe, tornadoes in the Midwest, floods in the north, hurricanes in the south, forest fires in the west, and it seems as if the environment is simply deteriorating all over the world. Whenever there is an opportunity to do something beneficial for the environment, I feel that it is our responsibility and duty to help out our planet as long as we are living on it. This is why I feel that the community service project that we did as a class was an excellent and commendable act. There were two main aspects of this community service that I enjoyed. First is the fact that we were able to help a local cause – especially since that cause was one that is helping the environment. Back where I live, every possible square inch of land is being used in order to build and develop more homes and living communities.
