ECE 3551 MICROCOMPUTER SYSTEMS 1 Lab 8—Learn to use floating point data operation in BF OBJECTIVE: Learn how to use floating point data to process audio data in ADSP-BF533 EZ-Kit Lite. Learn how to implement digital fir and iir filter in DSP using floating point data. Create the Project 1. Before power on the board , make sure that switch SW9 pin1,pin2, pin3, pin4, pin5 and pin6 are turned on., which means all pins in SW9 must be on. 2. Copy the project in Lab #7 to “u:\ece3551\labs\lab8” Modify the Project In this lab, you need to learn how to filter audio data using floating point data operation provided by VisualDSP++ IDE. The processor (Blackfin 533) does not support floating-point data and operations, but the VisuaDSP++ IDE provides software emulation for floating point data representations and operations. Floating point data operations can be used in the LAB just like standard C/C++ Language. The VisuaDSP++ IDE will generate run time code necessary to perform floating point operations with fixed point hardware. The drawback of this solution is
