1- Introduction Our ASM program implements a bubble sort algorithm. The bubble sort algorithm sorts a linked list of any length. The user may add as many values as it is needed, by adding the values and addresses to the linked list. The entire package: source code + documentation is available at the following link: http://www.paulva.com/ece4551/project.zip 2- How to run the program You may test our program on the SRC simulator: SRC tools Version 3.0.5 available at the following link: http://my.fit.edu/~vkepuska/ece4551/SRC_Simulator/ 2.1- Lunch the SRC Simulator 2.2- First load the ASM code by clicking on “Load” and selecting the file “fall04.asm” 2.3- Click on “Edit” 2.4- Click on “Assemble” to assemble the file 2.5- Click on “Bin->Sim” to load the source code in the simulator 2.6- On the first “Loc” field, enter 500 as the memory location 2.7- Select “Dec” to be able to read decimal values from the memory location 2.8- Click on “Run” to run the program While it is running, it is possible to see the values stored in the linked list been shorted in the fields “Offset 04” and “Offset 0c” 2.9- Read the shorted values in fields “Offset 04” and “Offset 0c” To add values to the link list, in the ASM file, add 0x8 to the address and put your value, the last value being 00. For example: replace “0X550, 00" by “0X550, 25, 0X558, 35, 0X560, 00" to add 25 and 35. 2
