Nick Poggetti TESP 124 Final Exam 3. Reflect on the family as the “domestic church” in light of your own experiences of the Christian life in your own family or in a family with that serves as a helpful model. I will be reflecting on my own family experiences with regard to it being the “domestic church.” I was raised as a Catholic, and have attended Catholic school since preschool. Growing up, my family went to church every Sunday, practiced regularly, and was involved with the Church in many ways. Going to a Catholic school, I’ve been a part of the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation. I plan also plan to take part in Marriage. It was a big part of my life at home and at school. My father was in the seminary many years ago, but he decided he wanted other things out of life and decided to leave and start a family. My mother was always a practicing Catholic. Because of my parent’s religious experiences, my brother, sister and I were raised on Catholic principles.
