Settlement Pattern Exercise: The region on the map includes sites from two different time periods – an earlier period characterized by a mobile hunter-gatherer society, and a later period characterized by a sedentary agricultural society. The tables provide site sizes and descriptions. Each site on the table also has an associated map grid number, so you can located it on the map. Instructions: 1. Determine which sites belong to the hunter-gatherer phase, and which belong to the settled agricultural phase. Use two different colored pencils to show where these different sites are on the map. Add you colors to the map key. 2. Create two histograms – one for each phase – using the site sizes. (Use a bin size that will accommodate all of the data
