Andreas Matthew Prime’s advice for studying To my fellow students: I’m not going to tell you I’ve stumbled upon some ingenious method of learning, because I haven’t. But that's not to say that I don't know how to learn. The following are itemized bits of advice: 1. Know yourself In studying, it is critical you know why you learn and how you learn in order to optimize your learning, and learn what you do and don’t know. Some people are visual, others auditory learners. Some people may need a break more frequently than others; some people need long stretches of time to get anything done. Some people work best in groups, while others tend to socialize and are better off working alone. Most critically of all, a thorough knowledge of self means knowledge of capability. A person who is self-assured does not become anxious about a test because they are perfectly aware of what they know, what they don't, the consequences of the two, and
