Econ 210 - Assignment 5-3 Assignment 5-3 I have purchased three used cars in my days, the first one was a Toyota Celica, the second one was a Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and the third one a Volkswagen Jetta. The Toyota was great I loved that car, I sold it because it got to old. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was a "lemon", when I bought the car, it was only 3 years, but the car was in the shop every other month, because EVERYTHING was falling apart. I only had it for a year and sold it to a friend of mine way below "Blue Book" value, that knew somewhat and how to fix the car. The day after selling the Jeep, I went out and bought the Volkswagen Jetta, the car was two and half years old, I have now owned the car

Unformatted text preview: for almost 9 years. The car has seen the shop 3 or 4 times, other than standard maintenance, (oil changes, tires, and brakes). What this experience taught me, was to NEVER buy another American made car again. Now I don't feel that way anymore, it took me a long time to get over how bad the Jeep was, and I shouldn't take it out on all three American car companies, just Chrysler! So now I say that I will NEVER buy another Chrysler product again. I'm looking at buying another used car here soon, because the Jetta is getting old. Because of the great success I have had with the Jetta, I am thinking about staying with German car companies....
